Chief Executive Officer, Event Response Services of San Diego

Background & Expertise McKenna brings more than 20 years of frontline emergency medicine experience, spanning the fire service, ALS ambulance operations, and emergency department care. This career placed her at the intersection of rapid response, clinical precision, and operational command.

The daughter of a career Paramedic/Firefighter and an ER Nurse, McKenna’s foundation in public safety and clinical excellence made her entrepreneurial path both intentional and inevitable.

Industry Insight & Vision After entering the event medical space in 2016, McKenna quickly identified a critical gap: event medical services were often treated as a checkbox rather than a mission-critical component of public safety. Processes lacked rigor, planning was inconsistent, and too much was left to chance. She saw an opportunity—and a responsibility—to raise the standard.

Founding ERSSD In 2021, McKenna launched ERSSD as a woman-owned, Native/Indigenous-owned company with a singular mission: to elevate event safety. Under her leadership, ERSSD earned a reputation for precision, professionalism, and reliability. From large-scale events like Comic-Con to intimate community gatherings, ERSSD delivers safety solutions built on risk mitigation, rapid response, and seamless coordination with local agencies.

Dr. Maysam Riadh, MD

Medical Director, Event Services Response

Dr. Maysam Riadh is a board certified internal medicine physician with more than a decade of clinical experience in primary care and hospital medicine. She currently practices at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the region’s leading hospitals. Her clinical expertise includes the management of chronic conditions such as hypertension, obesity, and psoriasis, alongside broad experience in acute care and patient safety.

As Medical Director for Event Services Response, Dr. Riadh oversees the development of clinical protocols tailored to event environments, coordinates emergency response and on call medical teams, and collaborates with local healthcare and public safety agencies to ensure streamlined care. Her leadership strengthens triage processes, preparedness models, and rapid response pathways, ensuring effective interventions in dynamic, high traffic settings. Professional Credentials
