Why ERSSD Exists
Founded by McKenna Marquis in 2021, Event Response Services San Diego (ERSSD) was created to replace reactive, “good enough” coverage with proactive, event‑specific medical planning. From the outset, the company was built to raise the standard for how medical care is planned, staffed, and coordinated at live events.
As a BIPOC‑, woman‑, and LGBTQ+‑owned organization, ERSSD pairs higher medical standards with an operational commitment to accessibility, accountability, and respect. Our teams work closely with event organizers, venues, and local EMS to support safe, well‑coordinated environments for attendees, staff, and performers alike.
Our approach to care goes beyond baseline compliance. We prioritize ADA‑accessible medical stations, thoughtful site planning, and team training that emphasizes cultural competence and non‑judgmental care for individuals of all ages, abilities, identities, and backgrounds.
Inclusivity is not a standalone policy—it is embedded in how we plan, deploy, and serve communities across San Diego and Southern California, guiding every decision from pre‑event assessment to on‑site response.
